In search for a slower life

Published: Thursday, 04 January 2018

I've been wanting to get back to knitting for a while. Back in the years before I was known as "mommy", and during the first few months of my daughter's life I was a proliferous knitter. I loved the slow pace of the needles, I enjoyed the calm and relaxation it offered while still keeping my busy mind and hands occupied for long periods of time. And then I re-discovered sewing (I had actually discovered it almost 2 decades prior, but never really unleashed its potential).

A week in the life - Too many towels, not enough sleep

----------------------------------

"A week in the life" is a blog series where I share a little recap of what I worked on throughout the week. You get to take a peek inside my studio, see what's new in my shop, from new colour combinations to entirely new products, and I link to all of them so you can easily find them before they're gone!

----------------------------------

You know when you think you can handle things and then life just walks all over you? Yeah. That was this week for me. I had so much work to get done, a long list of orders to be packed and shipped, things to be delivered... I felt like I was blindsided by it all (not complaining, keep them coming!!... though I should really work on tightening my production schedule).

A week in the life - Super Hero edition

Published: Tuesday, 19 September 2017

"A week in the life" is a new blog series where I will be sharing a little recap of what I worked on throughout the week. You will get to take a peek inside my studio, see what's new in my shop, from new colour combinations to entirely new products, and I will link to all of them so you can easily find them before they're gone!

I tend to work on my orders 'in series', so there will most likely be a predominant theme each week. This past week was definitely all about those capes! With Halloween fast approaching, super heroes around the world are looking to suit up and look the part... trick-or-treating is serious business.

First day of GRADE 1... and how I can't let go

Published: Thursday, 07 September 2017

And so it begun.

I had such a hard time sleeping the night before. I kept tossing and turning in bed, and I woke up at 6 AM unable to go back to sleep. It wasn't that I kept thinking about her upcoming school day, but my brain would just not shut off. Every random thing in my to-do list for basically the rest of my life kept popping up in my head. It's like when you're going on a trip very early in the morning and you really need to get some sleep, so instead your brain starts thinking about everything you've ever said or done in the last decade and a half (or is that just me?).
